I want to update all the documentation on this site to help people find, download, install, and use skins, mods, and icon packs. I would also love having somebody who could take responsibility for adding or updating the previews for all the packages. And last, I want some basic instructions for using this site for our Japanese and German friends (and either a liaison to help facilitate communication, or an apologetic disclaimer saying that I don't know either language worth squat so won't be able to help them if the details aren't sufficient).

UO Modders Exchange
Welcome to the UO Modders Exchange, a UO Skin, Mod, and Icon Pack repository. The Skins and Mods located here are contributions from the community, and are not endorsed or supported by EA Mythic. If you encounter any problems using anything you download here, contact the author (hopefully listed in release notes or a readme included with the download). If you cannot determine the author of something you have downloaded, send an e-mail to Illandril and he will either help you resolve your problem or track down the author for you. Do not contact EA Mythic for support of these add-ons! They will not be able to assist you.
If you have any suggestions or comments on the site, send an e-mail to Illandril. If for any reason the response takes longer than a week, assume the message never got through and send another.
If you want access to pre-release skins, mods, or icon packs, or if you want to develop add-ons for the Enhanced Client, you will need a subversion client. Most modders currently use Tortoise SVN. If you just want access to pre-release files, then you've already got read-only access to the repository - you don't even need to create an account. If you want write access, however, you'll need to create an account and then send an e-mail to Illandril. Before you can get write access, you will need to provide the files you want to add to be reviewed and promise that you will be respectful towards the desires of other modders and EA Mythic (give credit if you use another modder's work, don't enable/encourage exploits, let other people use your work as long as they give you credit, etc).

What you can do with Add-ons
All Skins, Partial Skins, Mods, and Icon Packs are available, free of charge, to any person able to obtain copies of the files. You are also allowed to modify and distribute modified copies of the files, subject to the following conditions:
- You give credit to the original author(s) and any contributors for all files.
- You give the same permission to anyone who obtains copies of the modified files.
- The modified versions and other files distributed with them are not intended to facilitate violation of the UO ToS.
Note: This only applies to items accessible through the "Skins", "Partial Skins", "Mods", and "Icon Packs" areas of this site, and anything in the trunk directory at the root of the SVN repository. This does not apply to the files in the other (including the trunk directory within other), archive, nor EA Mythic directories of the SVN repository. This also does not apply to any files that might be obtained through any links in the wiki, the ticket system, or any other area of this site (though chances are, if you ask, you'll be given the same permission).
